Roadshow EU from London in association with Roadshow EU GmbH from Düsseldorf will visit the Costa Blanca for the first time this week after numerous venues on the Costa del Sol and Gibraltar.

DSC00584.JPGRoadshow EU is collectors of vintage watches and Antique Jewellery. They will buy all Gold Items from the public; no item is too big or even too small as gold prices are at a record high. Visitors can expect 6 – 19 Euro for there gold items, depending on if it is 8 – 24ct Gold.  Morne Botes, owner of this unique company stresses that they do not just put your items on a scale and give you a set price like many shops and pawnbrokers, “We are collectors yourself and look for special and antique items, many items we can pay 2 or 3 times more then the gold price”. “We are especially looking for vintage watches before 1970; all Rolex, Omega, Heuer and Breitling from this era of time are special to us”.

Residents of the Costa Blanca can visit Morne and his Team this week on 27 & 28 April at the Thalasia Hotel in Murcia or 29 & 30 April at the AC Hotel in Alicante on Avda. de Elche. You can expect a calm atmosphere at the hotel, almost like old friends meeting for coffee. Morne and his wife will look at your items and tell you their worth, if you decide to sell them, then they will pay you in cash.
Carmen Botes is also available to communicate with you in German, as she is a South African born German from Paarl, Western Cape. Her parents immigrated to South Africa from Weingarten, Germany.

Roadshow has been operating for the last 7 years all over Europe, including Holland, Germany, Hungry, Belgium, Scandinavia and even as far as Malta.

“We have not seen a difference in the number or sort of people who visit us since the recession started” says Morne Botes, “We find that we are visited by people from middle to upper class who do not NEED the money, and have items of value that they never wear or use anymore and instead of leavening it in the drawer or safe, or pay insurance on them every year, they would rather sell it and use the cash for something more useful to their needs”.

We only advertise to the German, English and Dutch people living in Spain as we have found that we do not get many items from Spanish Nationals and the quality of items from mainland Europeans are of much more high quality.
“We have had 9 Roadshows in Marbella and Estepona on the Costa Del Sol in the last 12 months, as we find many Ex-Pats who move here do not wear all their Jewellery or even Watches in the hot weather.”

Morne Botes and his wife, Shani Petzer, started Roadshow EU in London a few years ago in partnership with Morne’s brother Ewil Botes and his wife Carmen. “We are a small family businesses that travel together and in the last 2 years we have expanded to 3 teams travelling every week somewhere in Europe.
We have a Team in Holland and Belgium this week aswell.” “We also opened an office on the KO Salle in Düsseldorf last year and have had successful events in Köln, Assen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bremen, Dortmund, Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf in the past few months” says Botes.
In the last month Morne and his family have moved to Marbella, where they will set up a Spanish office for the Roadshow.

“We have a big database of Collectors looking for specific items and we hope to find some of these items this week. People can also bring any gold items and they will be pleasantly surprised as to how the smallest items can be worth a lot of cash with the record high gold prices” says Botes.
